Family Photo Shoot

Last month we had the privilege of getting our pictures taken by our friends Travis & Hayley. They also took pictures of Brooklyn (that I previously posted) in January which turned out so beautiful that I couldn't wait to get some taken of our family. We had such a blast shooting with them that I could hardly wait to see how the pictures turned out. There were way too many to post on my blog so I had to narrow it down to my favorites. And of course my new blog photo is my ABSOLUTE favorite!!!!

Visitors

Last month we enjoyed having many out of town guests come & stay with us!!

At the beginning of March Brian's Grandma (a.k.a "Grams") came to visit us for a few days. She got to meet Brooklyn and spend some quality time with all of us. We had fun just relaxing at home and enjoying her fabulous cooking. She makes the best mashed potatoes!!

Then in the middle of March my Mom and brother visited. They decided to spend my brother's spring break in sunny California. We had a blast with them and the girls couldn't get enough of their Uncle Denton.

And of course their trip wouldn't have been complete without a trip to the beach, which is right down the street from our house.

Some of our friends from Illinois came to stay with us too!! Cassie & her daughter Addisyn visited the last week of March. Olivia and Addisyn are only 7 months apart so they had so much fun playing together. Unfortunately, we never had anyone take a picture of all us together, but here is one of the girls on our way back from the park.

Brian's 50K

For the past couple of years Brian has really gotten into running marathons and ultra-marathons. I don't know how he finds time to train for these races considering he is one of the busiest people I know, but somehow he does. Last year he even had the opportunity to run in the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C. Brian ran a 50K on Saturday March 20th in the San Diego area. He completed the 31 miles in 6 hours and 29 minutes!! Unfortunately, the girls and I were unable to go to this one; however, I was able to get some pictures from other people who ran with him.

Brian's favorite running shirt is one that he had made with the bible verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13 printed on the back of it.

Egg Coloring

A couple of weeks ago while my family was visiting we colored Easter eggs :) Olivia really enjoyed getting messy (because we know she doesn't get to very often) and making some pretty interesting eggs. Overall, she had a blast but she wasn't thrilled that her hands remained blue for a few days!!
